Welcome to the Division of Teaching and Learning Services (DTLS) website
Operating in accordance with the accredited quality management system (ISO 9001:2000), the Division supports the university's vision of being a leading flexible learning, teaching and research institution.
DTLS services assist Faculty staff in the design, development, production and delivery of flexible learning materials. We also provide academic staff development, bridging courses through our STEPS program, learning support to students through the Mathematics Learning Centre and Communications Learning Centre, and administrative support services.
Our operations include:
- Design, development and delivery of preparatory courses
- Delivery of preparatory English language programs (ELICOS) and IELTS testing
- System and administrative assistance to flex mode students
- Assistance to students with mathematics and academic writing
- Design and delivery of academic staff development activities
- Operation of the Learning Management System and provision of user training
- Design and production of multimedia and on-line teaching materials and video and audio products
- Learning and Teaching research through the LEID (Learning, Evaluation, Innovation and Development) Centre
- Preparation and reproduction of printed course materials
- Distribution and warehousing of course materials
- General and full colour printing and design services.
